**Machine Learning Engineer** **What is it for you?** **Contract -** 12 months with 2 extension Contract **Location -** QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW **Security clearance -** Baseline Competitive Remuneration **What we need from you:** * Strong experience as a **Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer or similar** * Proven experience delivering **AI/ML models and solutions from experimentation/POC through to production**. * Strong hands-on experience with **Python, PyTorch and Transformer-based models**. * Experience with **Natural Language Processing (NLP), LLMs and classical machine learning**. * Experience developing **Computer Vision models**, including CNNs and/or VLMs. * Strong understanding of **MLOps and DevOps practices** , including experiment tracking and tools such as **MLflow**. * Experience working with commercial cloud platforms such as **AWS, Azure or GCP**. * Relevant **ICT qualifications and/or industry certifications**. **Why/About Our Client?** Our client offers a variety of benefits, including a strong focus on work-life balance, a diverse and inclusive work environment. Also known for its commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and innovation. **What you'll do:** * Design, develop, evaluate and deploy **machine learning and AI solutions**. * Take AI/ML initiatives from **Proof of Concept through production and operational use**. * Develop and maintain production ML capabilities within a multidisciplinary team. * Apply **NLP, Transformer models, Computer Vision and classical ML techniques** to solve business problems. * Implement and support **MLOps practices**, including experiment tracking, evaluation, monitoring and operationalisation. * Deliver AI and automation solutions using **AWS and other cloud platforms**. * Contribute to **AWS serverless application delivery**, with AWS CDK experience highly desirable. * Prepare PoC reports, technical documentation, evaluation papers and recommendations. * Support **knowledge transfer** to internal personnel and contribute to improving organisational AI capability. **Desirable Skills:** * **AWS CDK / Infrastructure-as-Code** * AWS Lambda and serverless technologies * AWS cloud architecture * CI/CD and DevOps * MLflow * LLMs and Generative AI * Computer Vision / VLMs * Experience working within government or highly regulated environments **How to Apply:** Talented, committed, can-do individuals have always been the cornerstone of this dynamic organization.
