About the Role Join RELYzIT Talent as a Fullstack Developer (Freelance) for a high-impact 16-month project with our client in Leuven, Belgium. Youll be at the heart of innovation, building and evolving the digital assistant platform that is transforming customer experiences. As a Fullstack Developer, youll be instrumental in introducing new use cases and functionalities, making the AI chatbot smarter, more accurate, and more responsive to customer needs. Your work will directly impact the daily lives of thousands, driving the evolution of a flagship mobile platform in a rapidly growing domain. What Youll Be Doing Designing and developing new conversational flows and features for the AI digital assistant Translating functional requirements into robust technical solutions Maintaining, updating, and expanding the codebase to ensure high quality and scalability Leveraging AI agents and agentic workflows to automate tasks and boost development efficiency Collaborating closely with cross-functional team members, including Product Owners and Scrum Masters Managing multiple projects simultaneously, from quick wins to strategic initiatives Ensuring seamless integration with APIs and backend systems Upholding best practices in continuous integration and development Contributing to a culture of ownership, creativity, and technical excellence What Were Looking For Proven experience in Python and Java (preferably Spring/Spring Boot) Hands-on expertise with RESTful API design and microservices architecture Strong knowledge of continuous integration and development principles (CI/CD) Experience with GIT (GitHub/BitBucket) Cloud-native development mindset Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI Ability to integrate APIs and backend systems seamlessly Analytical, proactive, and creative problem-solver Ownership mentality with the ability to manage parallel projects Excellent communication skills in English, able to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Team player who can also work independently Eager to learn, enthusiastic, and adaptable to change Locally available in Belgium, with the ability to attend the office at least 50% of the time (minimum 1 day in Leuven, 1-2 days in Leuven or Gent) Technical Skills Python (required) Java (Spring/Spring Boot preferred) REST API development Microservices architecture GIT (GitHub/BitBucket) CI/CD pipeline management Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLM) API and backend integration Cloud-native principles Nice to Have Docker, Podman, Kubernetes AWS and AWS CI/CD tooling Language Proficiency Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required Other Requirements Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments Strong sense of ownership and accountability Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting Project Details Freelance position Project duration: 16 months (01/09/2026 31/12/2027) Location: Leuven, Belgium (hybrid: minimum 50% onsite) Ready to build the future with us?
