What Youll Be Doing Lead the development and delivery of advanced web-based applications in a production environment Coach and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence Drive the implementation of user-friendly, machine-readable web layers using semantic HTML and hypermedia interactions Develop and integrate APIs, ensuring robust and maintainable connections between systems Champion performant, maintainable, and robust frontend delivery without unnecessary framework complexity Execute programming tasks efficiently: coding, testing, debugging, and optimizing for quality Collaborate in an Agile environment, taking a leading role in sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement Contribute to backend or full stack development as needed, ensuring end-to-end solution integrity Technical Skills Senior-level experience as a frontend developer in production environments Proven expertise in API development and integrations Hands-on experience with multiple frontend frameworks Deep understanding of semantic HTML, hypermedia, and web standards Track record of delivering performant, maintainable, and robust web applications Experience with backend or full stack development is a strong plus Language Proficiency Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (required) Other Requirements Demonstrable experience leading development teams and coaching developers Proven ability to execute programming tasks efficiently: coding, testing, debugging Strong knowledge and experience with Agile development methodologies, with the ability to take a leading roleBuilder mindset: ownership, problem-solving, and a drive for impact This is a freelance position for a 5-month project based in Gent, Belgium.
