Job Title: AI Engineer Department: Network Engineering & Architecture Location: Hybrid, Poland, Czech, or in any Arelion European Hub As part of Arelions AI initiatives, you will architect, build, and operationalize AI solutions across the company from GenAI apps to AIOps intelligence to RAG systems. You will bridge engineering, data, and product thinking to deliver tangible business impact. Job Requirements AI & ML Technical Skills Strong hands-on experience with LLMs, GenAI frameworks, ML/analytics pipelines, and vector based retrieval systems. Proficiency in Python and experience building production grade AI integrations. Understanding of enterprise AI patterns such as RAG, observability, agent workflows, and model evaluation. Architecture & Integration Skills Ability to design secure, scalable integrations between cloud and enterprise systems. Knowledge of data pipelines, event streams, observability, and system to system connectivity patterns. Experience building or integrating platform capabilities that support AI at scale. Data Scientist Knowledge desirable Understanding of core data science concepts such as feature engineering, statistical modelling, experiment design, model evaluation, and hypothesis driven analysis. Ability to work with structured and unstructured data, run exploratory analyses, and interpret results to guide AI solution design. Familiarity with ML lifecycle practices (data preparation, model training, validation, and monitoring) to collaborate effectively with Data Scientists and accelerate AI delivery. Telecom Domain Learning Ability You dont need deep telecom expertise today but you should be motivated to learn about IP routing, EVPN/L3VPN, telemetry, and optical network concepts. Analytical & Product Thinking Skilled at designing experiments, KPIs, and ROI measurement. Able to translate technical possibilities into clear business impact. Experience in the Data & AI Field At least 5 years of experience working in data, analytics, machine learning, or AI-driven environments, contributing to real world data pipelines, model development, or AI enabled applications. Proven ability to work end to end with data and collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and domain experts to deliver impactful AI solutions. Collaboration & Communication Strong communicator able to simplify AI concepts for nonexperts. Comfortable collaborating with Engineering, Architecture, IT, and Operations teams. Adaptability & Curiosity Passionate about learning emerging AI tools and approaches in a rapidly evolving field. Job Responsibilities AI & AIOps Solution Development Build GenAI and ML solutions for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, RCA, correlation, enrichment, and automated remediation. Develop AI powered workflows leveraging network trained LLMs for IP and Optical domains. Prototype AI driven automations using Python, model APIs, and modern agent frameworks. AI Platform Engineering Arelions AI platform engineering provides the core capabilities needed to scale AI safely and effectively across the business. It enables secure access to AI platforms, transparent cost governance, and a unified digital fabric that lets AI systems interact reliably with enterprise data and applications. It also ensures high-quality, well governed data, clear visibility into AI performance, support for both cloud and on prem models where required, and modern tools for development and experimentation. Together, these elements create a secure and scalable foundation for delivering impactful AI solutions across the company. More specifically, you will: Support the design of secure integrations between enterprise systems and AI platforms (via APIs, event streams, messaging, or connectors). Contribute to data preparation pipelines and retrieval ready knowledge structures for RAG and automation use cases. Implement end to end visibility for AI behavior, performance, and quality. Help define architectures that enable both cloud based and on prem AI deployments where security or latency requires it.
