Youll develop algorithms to match, conflate, identify anomalies, as well as improve the simplicity, scale, and efficiency of the systems to handle more and more data, as well as improving the turnaround time in order to keep the data as fresh as possible. As a part of this you are also expected to identify and propose improvements, such as automating parts of the current process and formulating requirements for new functionality and ways of designing such a solution. Main Responsibilities Problem-solving clarity Explain their thinking, ask clarifying questions, and iterate from simple to optimized Technical fundamentals Can reason about complexity, understand practical trade-offs, and write clean code Communication Easy to talk to, take feedback without defensiveness, and discuss assumptions explicitly Genuine enthusiasm Show real interest in hard problems, not just getting a job Learning agility Willing to pick up Scala, work with legacy code, and adapt quickly Key Requirements Strong practical coding skills (can execute on the whiteboard) Solid JVM/Java fundamentals (memory, GC, threading concepts) Can discuss trade-offs in system design Understands low-level details when relevant Knows how to apply complexity analysis to real problems Language flexibility (Java proficiency required; Scala/Go/Kotlin are bonuses, not must-haves) To handle big data, application frameworks like Spark, Akka, Play Big data ETL and data streaming may come handy We are known for our extraordinary people who make the impossible possible every day.
