Senior Backend Developer We are developing and maintaining payment solutions and cloud backends to support payments. Role Overview This is a senior developer role with architectural responsibilities. You will: Write, deploy, and maintain production-grade backend code Shape the architecture of distributed systems that prioritize consistency, resilience, and low-latency processing Solve for reliability and scalability in a real-world, high-integrity transaction environment Participate in operating and improving our system in production Collaborate closely with teammates to make pragmatic, forward-looking decisions Work closely with stakeholders across product, infrastructure, and operations About The Team We are a new team ramping up its operations and would love you to join us and shape who we are. The payment domain is deep and nuanced, offering plenty of opportunities to expand your technical and domain knowledge as you go. This role is based in Espoo, Finland and follows a hybrid model. Candidates should be located within commuting distance of the office. Our stack includes: TypeScript, Rust, Python, AWS (with a focus on serverless), MySQL, DynamoDB, Containers, Linux Prior knowledge about card payments and information security are optional but considered a plus. You dont need to already know everything we value strong fundamentals, a willingness to learn, step outside your comfort zone, and the ability to adapt quickly. Many of us have picked up parts of the stack along the way, and well support you in doing the same.
