Overview We are looking for a Software Engineer to support the design and implementation of backend solutions within a modern, cloud-based technology environment. The role is part of an organization undergoing a broader technology transformation, focusing on building scalable, secure, and data-driven platforms that support business operations across multiple markets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and operate API-first applications, while contributing to high-quality engineering practices, system reliability, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend applications with an API-first approach Build and integrate services using internal and external APIs Apply secure coding practices and cloud security best practices Contribute to system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency Work with DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code Collaborate effectively with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders Independently drive tasks and identify opportunities for improvement Improve system reliability and operational performance Apply best practices around SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Backend development experience using Python or Node.js Experience building and operating APIs in production environments Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, GitHub, or similar tools Knowledge of secure coding and cloud security best practices Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments Nice-to-Have Experience working in environments combining SaaS platforms and custom-built solutions Experience with observability, monitoring, and incident management Familiarity with SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets Experience working in distributed or cross-border teams Frontend experience for internal tooling or admin interfaces Who You Are Curious and motivated to continuously learn and improve Comfortable taking ownership and working independently Collaborative and communicative, with a team-oriented mindset Focused on simplicity, efficiency, and high-quality delivery Structured, reliable, and conscious of security and compliance What We Offer A key role supporting a high-impact project in an international environment Competitive compensation Opportunity for professional growth in a rapidly evolving area A collaborative environment that values ownership, trust, and continuous learning Interested?
